A good practice piece

I finished this piece today and have learned some lessons from it. The overall idea and picture is great, the execution of creating it needs a bit of tweaking so I can get an even better product. At least that is my hope and plan. It is a challenge on these pieces when you have a lot of thread painting up against an area of little to  no thread work at all. Keeping your piece from pulling in too much, or stretching out weird can be a challenge. I really like the look of the sky without much, if any, thread painting, so I will keep experimenting until I find the best answer for creating it. I am feeling better and better about creating the ocean waters, and with more practice they too should look better and better.  In the meantime, I have loving this art form and enjoying the process.
