Just created a book (at my daughter's suggestion) of the lighthouses and beach pictures I've been creating with threadpainting.  Hope you enjoy it!

Sunshine, Sewing & Sickness

After most of a week of lower than it should be temps here (only in the 60's) and cloudy skies, the sunshine has once again graced us and it is a gorgeous summer day.  Hooray!

Feels SO good to SEW

This week I've had just enough extra energy to do some sewing, so started on a quilt that will be a gift. I figured out the design for it once I had the fabrics - LOL.  The background fabric gave me the idea for the quilt.... built around a Mariner's Compass.

Bloomin' Spring Swap

My ACEO group on Quilt With Us just finished an ATC Swap -- trading card sized fabric/fiber art (2.5"x 3.5").  Our theme was BLOOMIN' SPRING.  What fun when creative minds get set in motion!

One of "those" days

There are times when it seems we should just stay in bed, those times when even with the best of intentions things go wrong. Today has been that way for both DH and I.

Woke up excited about getting my eye exam done today ... it was yesterday - I missed it.

DH filled my car with gas ... dropped his cell phone and broke it.

DH was to have a phone interview today ... email got sent to a spam file ... it didn't happen.  Thankfully it will be done tomorrow.

I think perhaps we should go to bed early and hope that tomorrow will be a much better day!  Thankfully I know that God is in charge and I am happy that this is the case.

We had an extra special weekend. Our daughter came to visit us and my mom.  Our DD is an avid cyclist and brought her bike with her to get in some miles of riding while here...
