A time to pray

Thanksgiving is just days away now and preparations are being made for the gathering of family and friends to feast, to fellowship and to give thanks for the many blessings of the year.  We're having two of those times this week. The first will be Tuesday night with my siblings all gathered together. Then on Thursday we'll be with our "children".

Today, however, I want to focus on prayer. There are many who need to be lifted up in prayer, who have physical, emotional, spiritual needs.
Gwen - her mom went to be with Jesus last night
Debbie - recovering from round one of chemotherapy
Daniel - recovering from his latest surgery
Terri's BFF - recovering from surgery
Terri - shoulder that may need surgery soon
Kate - last week's of her pregnancy
"Sandy's victims" - so many needing so much after the devastating storm
Missionaries - for strength and resources to do the work God has called them to, and open hearts to receive
Our leaders - that they would look to God for guidance in the decisions that they make that affect us all
Countries at war and/or fighting others .. rebellion, civil war, etc.
Our military and others who are putting themselves on the line for freedom and peace

I know there are many more that could be added, these are the ones God has brought to my mind right now.

  1. Thank you for your prayer list...I hadn't heard about Gwen's mom.
