I start my mornings off with a cup of hot hot water, which starts warming me up. I'm working to increase my daily water intake so I'm using my wonderful new tumbler (one of my birthday gifts) and fill it and keep it by my side to use during the day. And every now and then I do have a cup of my hot mulled chai cider -- yummmmmm -- or some hot tea.
I love using Superior Bottom Line thread in my bobbin, it keeps the back from getting too "thick" with all the threads.
This is an old cabin (which I think has since been demolished) at the church camp where DH attended and worked at and where we met. Our kids also went to the camp and a couple of them have worked there too, especially our middle son who still works there off/on and has for over 10 years now. Just need to find the right frame for it now.
There are more gifts waiting to be made, but I am not feeling as overwhelmed now as I had been. My swap piece for the Inside & Out Swap should be arriving any day now. I'm anxious to put the Out part on my partners piece (she makes the inside picture and I do the border and continue the picture into it).
Last week I started another Beth Moore study, this one is on the book of Deuteronomy. It's basically an overview study using Deuteronomy 6:23 as the 'theme' verse:
"And He brought us out from there,
that He might bring us in
and give us the land that
He swore to give to our fathers."
Mom is doing quite well these days. I think a combination of adjusting to living at a new place (even though she often doesn't remember that it is where she now lives) and getting her meds adjusted that has made a huge difference. There has been a lot of turnover in residents in her building and she has several persons to converse with now and even help as they adjust to their new surroundings. Of course, if you ask any of them where they live you will get a wide variety of answers from Wisconsin to who knows where. LOL
And out of the mouth of babes ...
Our Miss Bailey was on her way to bed during our last call and her daddy told her to tell Nana and Papa she loves them one more time. Bailey got on the phone and did just that, "I love you one more time!" How precious.
I love it all.....and Miss Bailey has grown SO much lately! The cabin piece DOES look good on both sides. Thanks for showing us both.
ReplyDeleteThe thread work is beautiful! Too bad Art Linkletter is not around anymore. Bailey would be perfect for his show!
