I took in the sides and arms and shortened the length, then added some pintucks up near the shoulder seams for a bit of pizazz. Now it fits great. Only wish I had a white knit collar to add. Thank you Teresa for a fun shirt. Now to go get my cup of tea - will it be Chai, Rooibos, Earl Grey ... ?
A quilt is being made for a dear friend. I worked on my paper pieced blocks for it, just need to add my signature, etc. I can't wait to see the quilt together - it is going to be so full of love and caring.
My Love of Art Quilts group is finishing up a 'Celebrate Life' swap. It has been a fun swap. My idea for it came right away. It was great fun to create. When I was quite young I came up with a saying, which was the theme for my piece:
"Every day a happy day,
every day a party!"
Our ACEO group is doing a BLOOMIN' SPRING swap, so I've been working on my ATC's for it. I decided to do threadpainting for them...
I've also been playing with my new 'old' Bernina 520, learning more about what it will and won't do. I finally figured out how thick I need my fabrics to be to do free motion straight stitch and zigzagging so it won't skip stitches. It needs more thickness than I hoped. I had planned for it to be my main thread painting machine, but unless I want to use quite thick stabilizer/interfacing I'll have to use my other machine. Not totally giving up yet though.

Love your shirt, but you know what I'm excited to see.....Miss Bailey all dressed in fabric! That girl still makes me smile every time I see her laughter.
