Freckles gave us quite a scare for most of the last week. Sunday morning we were sure we were going to lose him, but today he is almost back to his old self again! WooHoo! DH has been giving him a mixture of peanut butter and Ambrotose. You can learn about it here:
We're convinced that it, along with time and loving care brought him back to us. Today he was even under foot when I was fixing dinner. That's a GREAT sign.
Most of this week has been cool and overcast.
Supposedly tomorrow we start to warm up again and by the weekend could be in the 90's. We'll see. The current cold front has taken its sweet time in moving on. Orchardists around here are hoping they haven't lost too much of their cherry crop this year. The rain we've had came at the wrong time, that's for sure.
We've been enjoying bird watching around here and this week we saw a new to us bird in our yard. It was a Western Tanager, which we learned is in the cardinal family. What a pretty bird.
I haven't been able to capture a picture of it yet. This one was from Google. I'm keeping my eye out and camera ready. Our quail friends still show up now and then, as well as magpies and robins, goldfinches occassionally, and those pesky starlings who took up residence in the maple tree this year.
So glad you pup is doing so much better :D
