DH and I were invited to my sister's for Father's Day dinner. When asked what I could bring she said dessert. Hmmm.... what to make. I pulled up my Pinterest http://pinterest.com/newgirlbj/chocolate-is-the-answer/ account and went through my "Chocolate is the Answer" board. There were several wonderful looking delicacies posted, but when I came upon the Chocolate Covered Oreo Cookie Cake (Kraft Foods) I knew I had THE dessert for the occasion. You see, I am rarely over at my sister's house when there isn't a cookie jar with Oreo's in it. The only alteration to the recipe I made was instead of using Cool Whip (I don't do Cool Whip) I whipped up some heavy whipping cream. Worked great. The filling? Oreos, cream cheese, and whipped cream. This recipe truly does serve 16! Oh my!
I'm making progress on my June 12x12. Now to decide how to quilt the border. It is an important part of the 'creation' for this month.
